Sculptor’s Guild of Michigan presents Work if the Hands, Mind and Heart.
Every sculpture begins in the quiet of the mind,
takes shape through the labor of the hands,
and finally breathes with the pulse of the heart.
This exhibition celebrates that full journey–material, thought, and spirit.
Exhibition Dates: February 21- March 21, 2026
ELIGIBILITY: Call for original sculptural artworks, in any medium are eligible. Work will be juried in and
judged. First, second, third prize, and honorable mention will be awarded.
GUIDELINES:
• Artists may submit up to 3 entries for this show.
• An entry fee of $25 for Sculptors’ Guild of Michigan members in good standing (2025 dues paid in
full) and $35 for nonmembers is required.
• Entry Form & Non-Refundable Entry Fee must be summited prior to Deadline of January 11, 2026
Size Limits
• Sculpture dimensions must not exceed 54 inches (depth) x 30 inches (width) x 72 inches (height) and 200 lbs. in weight. Pedestals of various sizes will be available. Hanging pieces must weigh no more than 25 lbs. weight.
• Sculptors’ Guild of Michigan reserves the right to reject any entry that differs from the submitted images, or is unsuitable in size, or is deemed unsuitable for space considerations.
Artwork Labeling Requirement
• Each artwork must be clearly labeled & securely on the back or bottom with the artist’s name, title of work, medium, dimensions, and price (or NFS-not for sale).
Artwork Entry Information & Digital Submission Requirements
• Submit up to 3 images per artwork (include front and back views).
• Label each file with your last name and artwork title (e.g. smith_still waters_front.jpg).
• Email all images in JPEG or PDF format. Image should be good resolution but not to exceed 500KB per image. Email to sculptgmich@yahoo.com
• Artwork must be ready for display upon delivery. If your pieces require special installation (e.g. Floor or wall mount, lighting, etc.) please include with your art details in the description box below.
Commission & Sales
• Downriver Council for the Arts recieves a commission of 35% that will be deducted from the sale price of the artwork sold, if sold. If not for sale, please list NFS (Not For Sale) in price area of paperwork.• During the exhibition period, all sales transactions will be made through the Downriver Council for the Arts (a staff member with the Downriver Council for the Arts will process all sales).
Delivery, Shipping & Liability
• Artists are responsible for all costs and arrangements related to the delivery and return of their artwork, and any assembly and set-up of their work.
• All entries will be handled with all possible care, but the Sculptors’ Guild of Michigan and Downriver Council for the Arts assume no responsibility for loss, theft, or damage during shipping, delivery, or display.

941 Joslyn Road, Orion, Michigan 48362 and postmarked by January 5, 2026, to be considered.
Artist Acknowledgement and Acceptance
Submission of work shall constitute an agreement to comply with all terms and conditions outlined in this Call for Entry, and the Downriver Council for the Arts Exhibition and Sales Agreement. The Sculptors’ Guild of Michigan jury committee reserves the right to the final selection of accepted works. Accepted pieces will remain as placed by the Sculptors’ Guild of Michigan and Downriver Council of the Arts and may not be withdrawn before the close of the exhibition.
I release the Downriver Council for the Arts, its staff, and the Sculptors’ Guild of Michigan from any claims for loss or damage that may occur. I grant permission for images of my artwork and myself to be used for publicity, promotion, or educational.
